Who we are

Mother Helpage is a British based international charity specialising in Rapid Response, Post Disaster Development and Humanitarian Aid in Conflict Zones. Furthermore, we specialise in Indian Administered Jammu & Kashmir, where we are the only organisation that have the liberty to help people without restriction, with permission from the Government of India as well as Jammu & Kashmir.

Jammu & Kashmir is still in conflict and mostly forgotten by humanitarian organisations as no international charity has unrestricted access to alleviate the sufferings of the community, except Mother Helpage, who have local teams liaising with our UK Headquarters to implement projects that are based on sustainability and development.

To date, we have established women empowerment projects such as vocational training centres, sponsored over 5,000 orphans for their health and education, supported more than 2,000 widows so they may become independent and self-sufficient, created livelihood projects for Rohingya refugees in Jammu & Kashmir, built water wells for communities that lack safe and clean water serving 2.2 million people, created events for the elderly who have become lonely due to the loss of their loved ones, and successfully reached victims of 2014’s catastrophic floods and disastrous earthquakes of 2015, providing emergency relief and aid.
