Who we are

MY DINNER WITH CIC operates as a grassroots not-for-profit, pay-what-you-feel Creative Community Social supper club. The organisation was established to bring people together, and alleviate isolation through combining home-cooked Global Fusion cuisine, live music, creative arts, and shared table experiences. The concept is intentionally designed to feel like stepping into a friend’s or grandmother’s home—warm, generous, inclusive, and celebratory.

MY DINNER WITH CIC is deeply rooted in the principles of Creative Health, with a focus on supporting emotional wellbeing, reducing social isolation, and strengthening community connections. Through its events, the organisation creates safe and nurturing spaces that encourage conversation, cultural exchange, and a sense of belonging. 

Our culture and values

My Dinner With's Project aim is to champion Creative Health within the community in an impactful way: nourishing bodies, emotional wellbeing, reducing isolation, and strengthening neighbourhood connections through Creativity and Care. 

Additionally, to advocate and promote the value of creativity and culture for well-being, local regeneration, and the economy. This is through supporting talent, maintaining traditions whilst embracing new ideas and perspectives through cultural exchange, and building a creative future. 

Some of the Key Objectives of the Project and differences include:

• Enhanced Community Impact: Together, we address loneliness and social isolation, especially during evenings and winter months, by creating a safe and inviting gathering place.

• Community, Circularity and Sustainability: Supporting and collaborating with local residents from different cultural backgrounds and Creative Arts supports the ecosystem of Creativity, Care and Collaboration. 

• Health & Inclusion: We showcase healthy, accessible meals, catering to dietary needs (gluten-free, nut-free, lactose-free).

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

• Our organization is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among our project and enterprise, and eliminating unlawful discrimination. We aim to ensure that all staff, collaborators and participants feel respected and able to give their best, reflecting the diversity of our customers and society.
• The Project supports all communities by exploring and sharing their heritage with a focus on combining Global Cuisines and a cultural celebration in the Creative Arts – highlighting different Music, Art and Photography styles.
• Launched for Inclusion: We promote and spread the word out about the Project across different social groups and demographics. Collaborating with community influencers: either by sharing the news in relevant Instagram, Media, WhatsApp and Facebook groups or by involving community organisations in outreach.
• We remove economic barriers to participation by making it a free entry Project/Event, and using a pay-what-you-feel model in which participants may choose to:
• •  Enjoy the experience for free, no questions asked
• •  Make a contribution. This ensures the Social Club remains accessible to all while fostering a culture of generosity and sustainability.
• Representation is important. Seeing a range of people (age/cultures) represented in staff and volunteers can help a more diverse range of visitors feel welcome and to mitigate language and cultural barriers by including in-house speakers, to involve a more diverse range of people in heritage.
