But what happens when the flashing lights turn off, the water recedes, and the news cameras pack up and leave? That is when the real, quiet struggle begins. Traditional support systems and insurance payouts can take months, leaving families in a painful, confusing limbo.
Our culture and values
We saw a massive gap in that crucial window of time. The National Relief Trust was built on a very simple premise: nobody should have to face the long road ahead alone. We aren’t the ones in the rescue boats; we are the ones standing on the shore, ready to help families rebuild their lives from the ground up once the immediate danger has passed.
