About us
Who we are
The National Rural Touring Forum (NRTF) connects, develops, and supports a vibrant ecosystem that brings high-quality artistic experiences to rural communities across the UK. NRTF’s mission is to engage diverse audiences, strengthen rural and local networks, and advocate for the value of accessible cultural experiences.
Touring in rural areas requires unique adaptability from artists, from self-sufficient setups to connecting directly with the community—often sharing meals with locals before shows and gathering for feedback afterward, creating a distinctive and personal exchange.
Our culture and values
NRTF is committed to promoting high-quality arts experiences, fair partnerships, creative diversity, and innovation. As a national leader, our sector nurtures relationships with thousands of community volunteers and strives to expand access to cultural experiences that enrich lives in rural areas.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
NRTF is an equal opportunities employer committed to equality, diversity, anti-racism, and anti-ableism and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. Equal opportunities mean that everyone should have an equal chance to apply and be selected for posts, to be trained or promoted equally and fairly. NRTF will only judge performance on the grounds of ability, experience, or potential. All employment decisions will be taken on an individual’s ability to undertake the role in question. If you would like to discuss access needs for the application form or the interview, please contact us. To enable us to monitor the success of our EDI policy and inclusivity aims, each applicant, employee, volunteer, partner, and contractor will be asked to fill out an Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form.
