About us
Who we are
AYI RAH is a new UK based youth empowerment initiative aim to work in partnership with youth communities and organisations in Pakistan. The primary focus is to support youth mental health and wellbeing through strengthening youth voice, participation and advocacy so young people can influence the decisions that affect their lives and communities.
Our work aims to create safe and inclusive spaces where young people can develop leadership skills, build confidence and take part in community decision making. We support youth led initiatives, promote civic engagement and encourage collaboration between young people, civil society organisations and local stakeholders.
Most programme activities take place in Pakistan through partnerships with local organisations and community groups. The UK base focuses on governance, fundraising and building international partnerships to support youth focused programmes on the ground.
Our culture and values
NAYI RAH is guided by a clear set of values that shape how the organisation works and makes decisions.
Youth voice and participation: Young people must be involved in decisions that affect their lives. The organisation creates opportunities for young people to share their views, lead initiatives and influence change in their communities.
Wellbeing and care: Supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people is central to the organisation’s work. Activities aim to create supportive environments where young people feel safe, heard and valued.
Integrity and accountability: The organisation works with honesty and transparency and ensures that resources are used responsibly and for the intended purpose.
Collaboration. NAYI RAH works in partnership with communities, youth groups and civil society organisations to strengthen collective action and shared learning.
Learning and growth: The organisation encourages continuous learning and supports young people and partners to build skills, confidence and leadership capacity.
Respect and inclusion: Everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences are valued.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
NAYI RAH is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone is treated fairly and with respect. The organisation does not tolerate discrimination on the basis of age, gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic background.
Equal access to opportunities is promoted across all areas of the organisation including trustees, volunteers, partners and programme participants. Recruitment and selection are based on merit, commitment and alignment with the organisation’s values.
The organisation actively encourages participation from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Diversity strengthens decision making and improves the quality and relevance of programmes.
Programme activities aim to reach young people who often have limited access to support and opportunities, particularly those from marginalised or underserved communities. Through inclusive practices and partnerships, NAYI RAH works to ensure young people can participate, express their views and benefit from programmes that support their mental health, wellbeing and active role in their communities.
