About us
Who we are
Norfolk Tennis is a volunteer-led Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity Number: 1203480) and the recognised county body for tennis and padel across Norfolk. Norfolk Tennis is governed by a Board of Trustees and supported by a volunteer Management Committee, representing member clubs, venues and key areas of tennis development across the county. Working in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association, Norfolk Tennis supports the growth and development of tennis and padel through collaboration with clubs, venues, coaches and players.
Our culture and values
Norfolk Tennis exists to support the development of tennis and padel across the county. We work closely with clubs, coaches and partners to grow participation in tennis and padel; support the sustainability and development of local clubs and venues; improve facilities across the county and support the development of coaches and volunteers. Our vision aligns with the LTA’s “Tennis Opened Up” strategy, which aims to make tennis accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of background, age or ability. We believe tennis and padel should be sports that bring communities together and create opportunities for people across Norfolk to enjoy lifelong participation.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Norfolk Tennis is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion across all areas of the sport.
We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and particularly encourage people who can bring professional expertise, fresh perspectives and a commitment to supporting community sport.
Experience in tennis is not essential.
Serving as a Trustee offers the opportunity to help shape the future of grassroots and performance tennis and padel in Norfolk. Trustees contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, support clubs and venues across the county, and help ensure the sport becomes increasingly accessible to a wider and more diverse community.
Trustees will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Lawn Tennis Association, one of the UK’s most successful national governing bodies in sport. Norfolk Tennis is committed to ensuring that everyone is treated fairly and with respect, and we actively encourage applications from individuals who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
