About us
Who we are
Olive Branch Aid (OBA) is more than a food bank. We offer support in many aspects of people’s lives to help them maintain their self-worth and dignity, despite facing many challenges.
We are a charity based in south London run by staff and volunteers who work together to source, store, pack and deliver food products, daily essentials, toiletries and cleaning products for those who need them, often in emergency situations.
Our service users collect their parcels by appointment only from our premises near the Windrush overground station but, in exceptional circumstances, we can ask our volunteer drivers to deliver provisions within our communities.
Our culture and values
OUR MISSION… is to provide help and support to the most vulnerable in our local communities. We cut through red tape, reach out and act quickly.
Our volunteers get a lot out of working with Olive Branch Aid “I volunteer because it feels good to help others. Giving money to charities is great, giving your time and sharing experience is very rewarding. I believe in showing kindness and love to all people – which we do at OBA.”
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We will actively support diversity and inclusion and ensure that all our volunteers/ employees are valued and treated with dignity and respect. We want to encourage everyone at Olive Branch Aid to reach their potential.
We aim to ensure that no job applicant, volunteer/employee or worker is discriminated against either directly or indirectly on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
