About us
Who we are
OneRichmond is the place-based giving charity for the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. We bring together residents, businesses, charities, funders and public sector partners to mobilise local giving, build strong partnerships and invest in the people and communities that make Richmond thrive.
Our mission is to connect people, resources and ideas to address local needs, reduce inequalities and create lasting social impact. By working collaboratively across sectors, we unlock funding, develop innovative partnerships and support community-led solutions that make a real difference across the borough.
As a growing organisation, OneRichmond offers the opportunity to help shape the future of local philanthropy and partnership working. You'll join a supportive, ambitious team committed to creating stronger, more connected communities through the power of place-based giving.
Our culture and values
Our Core Beliefs
At OneRichmond, we believe that stronger communities are built when people, organisations and businesses work together. Everything we do is guided by the following principles:
Collaboration
We bring together charities, businesses, public sector organisations and residents to achieve more collectively than any one organisation could achieve alone.
Place-Based Giving
We believe local people and local organisations are best placed to understand local needs. By connecting local generosity with local priorities, we create lasting change where it matters most.
Equity and Inclusion
We are committed to reducing inequality and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We value diversity, champion inclusion and work to ensure every voice is heard.
Trust and Integrity
We build honest, transparent relationships based on respect, accountability and shared purpose. We are committed to using resources responsibly and demonstrating the impact of our work.
Innovation
We embrace new ideas and creative approaches to solving complex challenges, continually learning and adapting to maximise our impact.
Lasting Impact
We focus on creating sustainable solutions that strengthen communities for the long term rather than delivering short-term fixes.
How We Work
Our working culture reflects our values and is built around:
- Building trusted relationships across the voluntary, business and public sectors.
- Listening to communities and responding to local priorities.
- Working collaboratively, openly and with mutual respect.
- Being ambitious for Richmond while remaining practical and solutions-focused.
- Encouraging initiative, learning and continuous improvement.
- Supporting one another to achieve shared goals and celebrate success together.
- Measuring our impact and using evidence to inform our decisions.
- Acting with kindness, professionalism and accountability in everything we do.
Together, these beliefs and ways of working enable OneRichmond to strengthen local giving, unlock new opportunities and create meaningful, lasting change across the borough.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
At OneRichmond, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity, fairness and respect. We believe that diverse perspectives, backgrounds and experiences strengthen our organisation and help us better serve the communities of Richmond upon Thames.
We are committed to providing equal opportunities in recruitment, employment, learning and development, and career progression. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation on any grounds protected by law, including age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We aim to ensure our recruitment processes are inclusive and accessible, selecting candidates based on their skills, experience and potential. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, particularly those who are underrepresented in the charity sector.
As a place-based giving charity, we recognise that reducing inequality begins within our own organisation. We strive to foster an inclusive culture where every colleague feels valued, heard and empowered to contribute, and we are committed to continually reviewing our practices to ensure they promote equity and inclusion across our workforce.
