About us
Who we are
Orchard Fundraising is a specialist business, offering strategic fundraising consultancy and practical support to charities and not-for-profit organisations. The business continues to expand. At our heart is a belief that fundraising grows from the ground up - rooted in care, nourished by expertise, and nurtured over time to create lasting impact.
Over the years, we’ve partnered with charities of every size - from small community organisations to large national institutions - across sectors, including health, education, heritage, environment, the arts, faith, and social welfare.
Our culture and values
What matters most to us is the difference our clients make - in communities, in people’s lives, and in causes close to their hearts. We’re proud to help grow the support that makes that possible.
Orchard Fundraising works through a team of Associates - self-employed sub-contractors - working in highly flexible, part-time roles across all income streams. We match your interests, skills and availability against the needs of our teams supporting clients. We are is proud of our highly personable and flexible attitude to staff and clients.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We believe that a major attribute of any role is its flexibility and ensuring it fits comfortably into your lifestyle and priorities. Whilst some client and colleague liaison is required, most of the work can be carried out in the comfort of your own home and fit around your other commitments. Hours worked may range from 24 to 32 hours a week. We are proud of our highly personable approach to Associates and adaptable to a wide range of working patterns. If your availability and needs are outside these parameters, we may still be able to accommodate the right candidates.
Before applying for a role with Orchard Fundraising, you should be aware;
- You will not become a millionaire as a result of your pay from Orchard Fundraising. While we pay high-average market rates, the roles are part-time.
 -

We pay travel and expenses where appropriate, but not pension contributions or other income. You are responsible for your own tax payments.
 -

The other side of the coin to having a highly flexible work environment is that there may be occasions where we do not have work for you. In practise, most Associates tend to work long term as part of a team supporting an established client and can normally rely on steady and ongoing work. But as a sub-contractor, you have less job security than an employee and we cannot guarantee a level of work.
 -

Associates cannot compete with Orchard Fundraising for new business. Some Associates also work for charities directly (as independent fundraisers) but cannot work for other consultancies related to fundraising or similar activities.
