About us
Who we are
PEAS is transforming education across sub-Saharan Africa. Each year we support 225,000 young people in marginalised communities across Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana.
We believe that every young person should have access to a quality education which provides them with the knowledge and skills they need to lead fulfilling and successful lives after school. We support young people to succeed from the moment they start school, right through to graduation from secondary.
We run one of the largest school networks in sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on secondary schools. Each year, 20,000+ students learn at our 38 schools.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is central to PEAS’ vision and mission and is a core part of our strategy.
-
We believe that every young person, no matter their circumstance or background deserves a quality education
-
Given this, we work thoughtfully to remove barriers for those who are currently marginalised and would not otherwise have the chance to succeed
-
Our best work starts from the experiences of the communities we work with. PEAS will empower individuals throughout the organisation who can represent the young people we serve
-
We commit to working in a way which enables every person in the PEAS community to thrive
-
We also want to make sure that every person that works for PEAS is treated fairly and is valued, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, religion, political beliefs or cultural background
