PINT (People In Need Today)

Who we are

PINT (People In Need Today) is a grassroots charity run entirely by volunteers. We began in 2006 mentoring young people in South London and have grown into a street outreach operation that runs seven days a week across the capital, taking hot food, warm clothing, sleeping bags and practical support directly to the people who need them. Nobody at PINT draws a salary. Our trustees are unpaid, and donations are spent on the people we serve.

We support people sleeping rough, people in temporary accommodation, elderly people on low incomes, people with disabilities, and victims of abuse and violence. Some of our volunteers and trustees first came to PINT for help themselves; today they are the ones handing out food. That is why people trust us, through the connections we have made we can make a real impact. We keep showing up in the same places, week after week.

It's an exciting time to volunteer with PINT, as we have recently launched in Liverpool and are launching a number of exciting new projects in London, and therefore we have a range of volunteering opportunities avaliable.
