Who we are
At Pride Mutual Aid & Support London, our mission is to provide vital support and resources for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer individuals facing financial hardships and social isolation. We achieve this through our comprehensive suite of services designed to empower the members of our community and help them overcome hardship and adversity.
Firstly, we offer financial assistance from our Solidarity Fund, which provides grants of £300 for emergencies and £200 for non-emergencies. These funds are used to support LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness, those needing assistance getting to and from medical appointments, as well as covering other essential needs on a case-by-case basis.
In addition to our financial aid, we believe in the power of community and social interaction. Thus, we host monthly drop-in group activities, which provide an opportunity for individuals to meet new people, make friends, and participate in engaging and meaningful social activities.
Lastly, we hold a monthly show, featuring talent performances and/or drag shows, where all ticket sales are donated directly back to the charity to support our continued work in helping LGBTQ+ people overcome barriers and thrive.
