Who we are

For over 180 years, Rainy Day Trust has been there for the people who power the home improvement and home enhancement sector. We're the dedicated charity for anyone who works, or has worked, in DIY, builders' merchants, garden centres, housewares, potteries and related trades, and for their families.

Life can change in an instant. Illness, bereavement, redundancy, relationship breakdown or rising living costs can leave anyone struggling, and our role is to make sure no one in our industry faces those moments alone. Our support is free, confidential and shaped around each person's circumstances.

We work in partnership. Our relationships with businesses, our Ambassadors and our delivery partners allow us to extend our reach far beyond what we could achieve alone.
