About us
Who we are
Music. Creativity. Community.
RecRock brings people together through accessible music workshops, creative projects and live events across Caerphilly County Borough.
Our culture and values
RecRock is built on music, creativity and community. We create welcoming spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can express themselves, build confidence and feel part of something positive. Our work is rooted in kindness, participation and genuine inclusion.
We believe in supporting people to grow through shared creative experiences. We value collaboration, youth voice, lived experience and the contributions of volunteers. We aim to remove barriers to participation by keeping our activities accessible, affordable and community‑focused.
Our working practices emphasise respect, safety and consistency. Staff and volunteers model positive behaviour, support one another and maintain a culture where everyone feels able to contribute. We listen, adapt and respond to the needs of our community, ensuring our work remains relevant, inclusive and empowering.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
RecRock is committed to fairness, dignity and respect for everyone involved in our organisation. We actively oppose discrimination and work to ensure our spaces are safe, welcoming and accessible.
We recognise the diverse identities, backgrounds and experiences of the people we work with. Our approach includes: • treating all individuals with respect • providing inclusive, accessible activities across Caerphilly County Borough • challenging discriminatory behaviour or language • ensuring recruitment, volunteering and participation opportunities are open and fair • making reasonable adjustments so people can take part fully • reviewing our practices regularly to ensure they reflect current equality standards
Staff and volunteers receive guidance on inclusive practice and safeguarding, and are encouraged to raise concerns if they witness unfair treatment. We aim to create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and able to participate without barriers.
