About us
Who we are
At RSVP, our vision is a world free from sexual violence and abuse. For individuals we make that a reality. We support people in Birmingham and Solihull to thrive, enjoy a future of hope and confidence, cope with trauma and rebuild wellbeing. Our specialist, trauma informed services are for victims and survivors of all genders, aged 5 upwards who have been subjected to sexual violence and abuse, and their loved ones who support them.
From April 2023-March 24, we supported 6,964 survivors across all our services. 3,648 of these were supported by Advocacy and Wellbeing services (which excludes the survivors we supported through our Counselling services).
Our culture and values
RSVP is committed to equality and valuing diversity.
This includes a commitment within our recruitment and selection processes, where we are welcoming applications from across the community and are actively encouraging applicants with a protected characteristic to join our bold, believing & big-hearted team.
RSVP believes that survivor voice is vital and central to everything that we do.
We are committed to ensuring that individuals subjected to sexual violence and abuse are involved at every level of our organisation. Therefore, we welcome applications from individuals with lived experience of sexual trauma who also meet the person specification, so we can work together, engage and amplify survivors’ voices throughout all our work
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
At RSVP we take a proactive approach to equity, diversity and inclusion. We continually work to ensure that:
a) We understand the barriers & discrimination that particular groups of abuse survivors face
b) RSVP & our services are accessible as possible, both for survivors and for staff/volunteers
c) We build knowledge & capacity to meet the diverse needs of particular groups of survivors.
