About us
Who we are
I am interested in the Control of Infectious Diseases with a focus on diseases that confer a significant burden in the developing world. My interests lie in the assessment of the constraints of local public health delivery systems, the selection and design of appropriate methods of infectious disease control and their subsequent implementation and evaluation, and the investigation of the transmission of endemic and epidemic infections.
I aim to contribute to the production of some of the currently lacking empirical evidence that is direly needed to bring issues that undermine disease control programs to the main discussion table of health ministries, rural and urban health care centres, communities and global disease control programs.
Hailing from Uganda, this objective doubles as an act of service in honour of the daily lives that communities such as mine continue to lose due to prevalent knowledge gaps surrounding the control of preventable and/or treatable infectious diseases.
