About us

Who we are

Seen Sisters is for solo women aged 25–55 who live with invisible disabilities. Our community is specifically for those who do not have children or a long-term, stable partner to rely on for emotional, financial, or practical support. These women often appear ‘well’ to others, which means their needs are frequently overlooked by wider society and services. Many face isolation, discrimination, and a lack of tailored support despite experiencing daily barriers that reduce their quality of life.

Our culture and values

Our Values:

Seeing the experience of solo women with invisible disabilities as unique

Empowering ourselves through co creation

Diversity and inclusion - (intersectionality/decolonial/lgbt plus/flexibility)

Joy and collective nourishment - decolonial, sustainability and reimagining

Collective liberation - Conscious partnerships with allies

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

We are a diverse group, proudly including women of colour, neurodivergent individuals, and LGBTQ+ members. Our core mission is to joyfully reimagine spaces, making them more accessible and inclusive for women like us. We believe in lifting each other up through shared experiences and fostering a sense of belonging where every woman feels truly seen.

This movement was born from lived experience, and we actively co-create our spaces to ensure they are comfortable and supportive for diverse bodies and minds. We collaborate with allies to help us drive change within the community and beyond.
