Meet one of our Deputy Service Managers:
"I have lived experience and have overcome many obstacles throughout my journey. In 2017, I was admitted to a psychiatric mother and baby unit with my at the time 10 month old baby boy, I reached out for support when he was 3 weeks old but my voice was not heard.
In September 2022, I joined SIG as the Early Years Practitioner, with an aim to be a voice for residents and help make a change. My dream had come true with this job, I was then offered a full-time position as a Residential Family Support Worker and in 2025, I was promoted to Deputy Service Manager where I could really continue my personal goal to help make a change and be the voice of many people who need it. I thank the Service Manager for giving me this opportunity and believing in my abilities and supporting me with my personal development."
