About us
Who we are
SNG (Sovereign Network Group) is one of the largest housing associations in England.
Our purpose is to provide good, affordable homes that are the foundation for a better life - and our vision is thriving communities, over generations. We provide 86,000 homes and invest in communities across London, the South East, South West and East of England, as well as aiming to create thousands of new affordable homes every year.
Over the next five years we will deliver a step change in our customers’ experience so that it is the best of any social housing provider into, throughout, and beyond the 2030s.
While our registered office is in Basingstoke, Hampshire, we also have a headquarters in Wembley, London, and a network of regional offices and teams throughout our operating area. This lets us provide quality local services that are really easy to use, accessible and delivered right first time, every time by people who care.
Our locally-based teams proactively manage the homes and places in their area, working closely with customers, communities, and local partners. They’re supported by a range of centralised teams and specialist roles.
Our culture and values
Our values are the foundation of everything we do.
They reflect our commitment to creating a Great Place to Work: a place where everyone has a role to play, where personal leadership and initiative are celebrated, and where actions speak louder than words.
They shape how we prioritise our customers, emphasise collaboration, and ensure that everyone matters - both within our teams and in the communities we serve.
Our 'PLACE' values empower us to create a culture that inspires action, encourages accountability, and strengthens our focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers and colleagues alike:
- Play your part
- Lead by example
- Always take action
- Committed to customer
- Everyone matters
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We strive to be recognised as a fair and inclusive employer and landlord; and a force for change in equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) topics.
For us, EDI is all about people: building a workforce that reflects the diversity of our communities; creating workspaces where everyone is treated fairly and according to their needs. It’s also about putting our customers’ first and meeting their variety of needs in the most effective and inclusive way.
We want everyone who works for us, or lives in our homes and communities, to feel at home. It’s our shared responsibility to deliver this vision and one way we do this is by running regular education and awareness sessions. These touch on topics such as race, disability, LGBTQ+ inclusion at work (including our HouseProud Pledge), inclusive leadership and more. This helps make sure our workforce is comfortable and confident navigating through a positive, diverse and inclusive culture.
We’ve been working hard to embed EDI into everything we do. We are proud of the progress made over the past year and remain focused on learning, listening and improving - for colleagues, customers and communities.
- Equal opportunities employer - we’re an accredited Investors in People organisation. We treat people fairly regardless of their sex, age, disability, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, race, religion or sexual orientation.

- HouseProud Pledge Pioneer - we've signed up to the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge to demonstrate our commitment to LGBTQ+ resident equality and support. Find out more about the HouseProud pledge .
