About us
Who we are
SNAAP is a charity based in Herne Bay, covering East Kent, that supports families of disabled children and young people aged 0–25 years.
Founded in 2003 in response to a lack of accessible services and support for families of children with additional needs, we provide a wide range of practical, emotional, and social support services designed to improve outcomes, reduce isolation, and empower both children and their families.
Our services include one-to-one family support, information and advice, school holiday activity programmes, youth groups, short breaks, early years sessions, and inclusive family days out. We support children with a range of disabilities and additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, complex physical and learning disabilities, and life-limiting conditions.
What sets SNAAP apart is our holistic, family-centred approach. We work directly with parents and carers, building trust and offering consistent support through periods of crisis, uncertainty, or statutory system challenges. We exist to ensure that no family feels alone, and that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
