About us
Who we are
Target Housing is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. Over the past 30 years we have shown that stable accommodation and support can help transform lives and empower people to achieve independence. We have grown from small beginnings to become a complex charitable company and Registered Provider, owning over 160 properties and leasing many more.
Our culture and values
As a regional charity, registered provider, and registered care provider, we provide safety, support and hope to some of the most vulnerable people in society, including entrenched rough sleepers, survivors of domestic abuse, people with multiple and complex needs, women who have had children removed into care, and individuals living with mental ill health or learning disabilities.
Our services are shaped around human connection, trauma-informed care and long term recovery.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
At Target Housing Ltd, fairness, equality, and inclusivity are central to our mission of supporting vulnerable individuals and communities. We recognise that to deliver compassionate, effective services, we must also reflect those values within our workforce.
- Fair Hiring Practices: structured interviews, clear job criteria, and diverse interview panels.
- Equal Opportunity: promote jobs widely, actively encouraging applications from underrepresented groups
- Staff Representation: We value diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences across our teams and management.
- Training and Awareness: All employees, from frontline support workers to leadership, receive regular training on unconscious bias, anti-discrimination, and inclusive practices.
- Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: We enforce robust anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, with clear reporting mechanisms and swift action when concerns are raised.
- Support and Flexibility: We accommodate the needs of staff with disabilities, caring responsibilities, or health conditions, offering flexible working and reasonable adjustments.
- Employee Voice: Staff feedback is actively encouraged through surveys, forums, and supervision, ensuring we understand and respond to lived experiences.
- Values-Led Work: Our internal culture reflects our external mission—supporting people without judgement, and advocating for dignity, respect, and equality for all.
At Target Housing Ltd, we believe that creating a fair, inclusive workplace is essential to delivering high-quality, person-centred support to those who need it most. We are committed to continually challenging discrimination and fostering a culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.
