Who we are

The attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers is more apparent than ever! Children from lower-income homes start school already behind their more affluent peers. This gap only widens further throughout their school years, limiting children's options for future education and work. 

Team Up tackles educational inequality by establishing inspirational teams of volunteer tutors - people like you - that empower pupils to reach their full academic potential and improve their future prospects. Our impact data show that our targeted small-group tuition programmes work! The majority of our pupils double their expected progress in one school term! However, our tuition programmes not only raise academic results, it also improves confidence and resilience, and helps inspire pupils for the future. It is Team Up’s mission to work towards a world where children’s chances of success are not limited by their socio-economic background.
