About us

Who we are

We are a vibrant community charity based in Barnard Castle, dedicated to creating opportunities, connection and support for people across our area. We manage a welcoming community building, where we offer a diverse range of performance spaces, creative studios, community rooms and outdoor activity areas that bring people together through culture, wellbeing and shared experiences.

Our small but passionate team specialises in community engagement and support, working closely with local people to deliver meaningful activities and services that make a real difference. Alongside our staff, more than 100 incredible volunteers play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission, contributing their time, skills and energy to support our community every day.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We work in partnership with local, regional and national charities and organisations to ensure our service users receive the best possible support, while also championing and raising the profile of community-led support across the region.

Our Values: Honesty and Integrity | Value our Community | Empower each other | Work together as a team

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
