About us
Who we are
Make a real difference through creativity.
Join The Baked Bean Charity, a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic charity empowering people with learning disabilities and autism through the performing and creative arts, life skills, and wellbeing programmes.
From theatre and DJ training to fitness and music, we offer inclusive, high-quality opportunities that build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and support independence. Our vibrant community fosters connection, social integration, and a strong sense of belonging for adults with learning disabilies and autism. With a diverse programme running six days a week, we empower individuals towards personal growth through creativity.
We work across local theatres, schools, NHS Trusts, and universities, where we deliver performances and training that shatters misconceptions, challenges stereotypes and pushes the boundaries that society sets. Our work also extends into national media—where our performers represented by our Baked Bean talent agency have featured in major productions including The Crown and ITV’s The Assembly. We are creating opportunities across the performing arts industry in mainstream television, film and theatre productions, showcasing our actors talents and abilities to a wider audience.
Be part of a team that celebrates potential, champions inclusion, aims to make a lasting impact, and above all else supports people with learning disabiltiies to express themselves and find a community where they can be unapologetically true to who they are.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We're very serious about equality, diversity and inclusion. It is included in our mandatory training and we constantly seek to make improvements.
