About us
Who we are
Our vision is for every child to make the most of their one chance at childhood. Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 years by providing respite breaks and on-going outreach support. We give young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provide a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.
Our culture and values
We are a compassionate, inclusive charity where young carers feel seen, heard and supported. We work collaboratively to empower children to have safe, happy and fulfilling lives beyond their caring responsibilities.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
At the heart of our work is a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and equitable environment where every young carer and our team members feel valued, respected and able to thrive.
We recognise that the children we support come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and identities. This includes differences in race, ethnicity, culture, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, and socio-economic circumstances. We also understand that young carers often face additional barriers and challenges, and we are committed to reducing inequality in all its forms.
