About us
Who we are
The Jack Hazeldine Foundation (JHF) is a youth charity based in Clevedon, supporting vulnerable children and young people across North Somerset.
Through personalised mentoring and tutoring, we enable young people to overcome obstacles, acquire new skills, and improve their wellbeing. Our work focuses on inspiring positive changes in behaviour, resilience and self‑esteem, empowering young people to re‑engage with their schools, families and wider communities, and supporting their transition into adulthood.
Our culture and values
At the JHF, our work is rooted in strong, supportive relationships. We believe that positive relationships play a central role in helping young people overcome obstacles, build confidence and improve their wellbeing.
Our culture is relationship‑based and supportive. Our mentors and tutors act as consistent, positive role models, supporting young people to set and achieve personal goals, develop new skills and make positive changes in their lives.
We take a bespoke and individualised approach, tailoring our support to each young person’s needs. Our work is trauma‑informed and underpinned by the SEN Code of Practice.
We focus on empowering young people to re‑engage with education, strengthen their relationships and play a positive role within their families, schools and wider communities.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We recognise and value the diversity of our community and are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment. Our approach promotes fairness, respect and equitable access to opportunities, and actively works to challenge discrimination and bias across the workforce.
