About us
Who we are
The Mindful Foundation is a UK charity focused on preventing abuse before it starts, reoffending, and supporting those affected by it. We work across education, trauma recovery, emotional wellbeing, and victim support to break cycles of harm and create safer futures.
Our core projects include:
• Think Different: Preventing Harm Through Education
An early-intervention programme for children and young people aged 8–18 delivered within schools, alternative provision settings, and foster care environments. The programme focuses on emotional regulation, healthy relationships, self-worth, conflict management, trauma awareness, and abuse prevention.
• True Power: Change Starts Inside
A trauma-informed behavioural change programme developed for offenders and individuals at risk of causing harm, focused on accountability, emotional awareness, resilience, and reducing reoffending.
• ListenApp
A discreet victim support app designed to help individuals experiencing abuse access support safely through covert safety features and rapid support alerts.
We are a growing organisation already working with schools, charities, safeguarding professionals, and community organisations across the UK.
Our culture and values
We are passionate about creating safer communities through education, emotional awareness, and intervention. Our work is rooted in trauma-informed practice and driven by a belief that people can heal, grow, and change with the right support.
We aim to create a society free from harm, where individuals feel empowered, safe and connected to themselves and others.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
The Mindful Foundation is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and supported.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and actively encourage individuals with lived experience, diverse perspectives, and underrepresented voices to apply. We are committed to equality of opportunity regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We believe diversity strengthens our organisation and improves the support we provide to the communities we work with.
