Who we are

Theatre Royal Margate is a Grade II* listed building in the centre of Margate. Since 2007 the theatre has been on a journey that has transformed it from a struggling seaside venue into a dynamic and progressive arts organisation running high-quality programming of visiting professional theatre, music and dance , and a far-reaching community, youth and education programme that positively engages thousands of participants in the life of the theatre. Year on year we continue to engage more than 20,000 people in our activities. In the next three years we want to build on our achievements, shifting our emphasis towards the work we support and produce, increasing audience and participant numbers and enriching our offer to children and families.
