About us
Who we are
TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester (TRC) was set up in 2010 to offer a free and confidential service for survivors of sexual violence or rape no matter when or where it happened.
We provide free, trauma-informed counselling for survivors, as well as an anonymous telephone helpline, Live Chat and email service; an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate Service; and a Pathfinder service for people with complex mental health.
We provide client-centred services and tailor our support to meet survivors where they are.
Our culture and values
We are an intersectional feminist organisation and seek to take steps to break down rape culture and misogyny in our society through campaigning and education. We are a community of passionate and supportive volunteers, counsellors, trustees, employees and supporters.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We champion equality, equity, diversity and inclusion at TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester and are constantly striving to challenge and improve our policies and working practices. We believe in being anti-oppressive and aim to become an anti-racist organisation.
