About us
Who we are
So who are we? Well we’re young, old, black, white, short, tall, male, female, rich, poor, married, single – a right mixed bag really. The only thing you can guarantee we’ve got in common is our shared faith. That’s what makes a church community so special. Everyone is welcome, everyone belongs, everyone is loved.
We come together to learn more about faith, to celebrate it, and to share the good times and the bad.
We try not to be inward-looking, but to instead find ways to share God’s love for all in our wider communities, and to live out our faith in our daily lives, not just on Sundays.
Our culture and values
Our Team Vision is to see the Kingdom of God growing in the Vale of Pewsey
Jesus said: ‘But Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.’
(St. Matthew 6: 33 King James Bible)
We ask God’s Holy Spirit to guide us in living out this Vision in each Parish, in the Clusters of Churches and across the whole Team. By this, we hope and pray that we might love God more, serving Him joyfully and in faith, finding ways to love and serve our neighbours in all we do. We long to see a valley overflowing with God’s presence, as we trust Him to help us in living a Kingdom lifestyle with Kingdom values, by:
Resting in the Love of God (in worship and prayer)
Responding to the Love of God (as we grow in faith) and
Reaching out with the Love of God (serving others and being ready to share our faith in word and action)
Our Team of 16 rural Wiltshire Churches belongs to Salisbury Diocese. The Bishop of Salisbury’s Vision for the whole Diocese reinforces and encourages our own aims in the Team:
Renewing HOPE
Pray + Serve + Grow
