Warrington Community Transport

Who we are

Warrington Community Transport is a small, local charity providing accessible, door-to-door community transport services to residents of Warrington and Burtonwood.

From the very beginning, our purpose has been simple: to help people stay independent, connected and involved in their community.

Our service is available to members who are aged 75 or over or who have a disability. We provide regular journeys for shopping, social activities, appointments and other essential trips, helping older and disabled residents to remain independent and connected to their communities.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to reducing social isolation, promoting independence and improving quality of life for older and disabled people in our community.

Our culture and values

Accessibility: We provide door-to-door transport for people who can't easily use conventional public transport.

Independence: We help people keep the freedom to do the weekly shop, attend appointments, and live life on their own terms.

Connection: We know a journey is more than getting from A to B. It means seeing friends and family, joining social activities, and staying part of the community.

Community: We are a local charity, built on the support of our passengers, volunteers, staff, trustees, funders, and supporters.

Commitment: We have been keeping Warrington moving since 1985, and we are dedicated to continuing that service for many years to come.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

Warrington Community Transport is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in everything we do. We value the differences that a diverse workforce brings, and we are committed to creating an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of who they are.
