About us
Who we are
WBC Cares UK is the charitable arm of the World Boxing Council, working at the heart of communities across the United Kingdom. We use boxing as a powerful tool to inspire positive change, support mental and physical wellbeing, and create safe spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Our programmes reach young people, adults, and those facing adversity, including individuals affected by poverty, exclusion, disability, or trauma. From schools and youth clubs to gyms and community hubs, we deliver mentoring, education, outreach, and accessible boxing activities that build confidence, purpose, and connection.
Backed by world champions, grassroots coaches, and a network of dedicated volunteers, we believe in the life changing potential of boxing. Our work is shaped by lived experience, guided by strong values, and focused on making a real and lasting difference.
We are WBC Cares UK and we are here to ensure that "Boxing belongs to everyone, and everyone belongs in boxing."
Our culture and values
At WBC Cares UK, our culture is rooted in compassion, resilience, and the belief that boxing can be a powerful force for good. We are community-led, people-focused, and driven by the conviction that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive.
We value respect, honesty, and solidarity. These principles guide how we engage with each other and the communities we serve. We champion positive change, celebrate difference, and stand firmly against all forms of discrimination or exclusion.
Our team works with integrity and purpose, delivering impactful programmes that promote wellbeing, confidence, and a sense of belonging. We lead by example and create safe, supportive environments where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
Whether through mentoring, outreach, or partnerships, we stay committed to one unifying belief:
"Boxing belongs to everyone, and everyone belongs in boxing."
