About us

Who we are

We provide free and low-cost counselling and emotional support for patients, families, friends and carers who have been affected or bereaved by cancer or any other life-threatening condition, across Somerset, Bath and North-East Somerset and Wiltshire.

We understand that the emotional impact of these conditions can be just as hard to manage as physical symptoms, and that the impact extends to everyone connected to the person diagnosed. People who contact us for help often report feeling numb, isolated, terrified and struggling to cope.

We provide a safe space to work through difficult feelings with an experienced, specialist counsellor. When you ask WHY…we hear you.

Our culture and values

At We Hear You, empathy is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every individual feels seen, heard, and supported during their most challenging times.

We work collaboratively with communities, professionals, and supporters to extend the reach and impact of our counselling and therapeutic services.

Integrity drives us to act with honesty and transparency, building trust with those who rely on our support.

We treat everyone with respect, honouring their unique experiences and needs while creating safe and supportive spaces for healing.

Inclusivity is fundamental to our approach, as we strive to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to the care and understanding they deserve.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
