Our Mission

Our journey starts with our mission statement, which is simple. “We Save lives”

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust does this by raising sufficient funds to finance an air ambulance service in Wiltshire and adjacent counties. All our activities across the organisation are informed by our Mission, Vision, Values and Culture.

Our Vision

Our Vision guides every aspect of our charity’s work by describing what we aspire to be as we deliver our life saving service in Wiltshire. Our Vision serves as a compass for all our decisions. Our Vision focuses on our People and our Partners.

• We imagine Wiltshire Air Ambulance as a great place to work, where people are inspired to be the best they can be.

• We will provide and develop strong leadership – people who will lead by example and be able to take the whole team with them on the journey.

• We will actively ensure the health and wellbeing of the whole team, including, but not limited to, volunteers, pilots, paramedics, charity staff and anyone who associates with the charity in any way – fostering and nurturing a progressive and innovative workplace environment where every individual’s work/life balance is tailored to maximise their efficiency and enjoyment of their role.

• We will be highly effective, lean, agile and progressive.

Our Values

Our values serve as a litmus test for all our actions.  If something is at odds with our Values, we do not do it.

• Communicate: We will communicate with people so that they are informed of all important matters in a timely way – whilst also recognising that some matters are personal or commercially confidential.

• Planet: We will be a responsible charity and make a difference by using local companies and where possible sourcing recycled and sustainable materials. We also have policies in place to offset our carbon emissions.

We will measure our successes and failures with this Vision and these Values as main indicators of how we are doing.

Our Culture

Our organizational culture needs to support our visions and values, defining the attitudes and behavior of all our people. These will be deeply imbedded and become our collaborative genetic makeup – the Wiltshire Air Ambulance collective DNA.
