About us
Who we are
Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis (WinACC) is a small, local charity working for a fair and thriving Winchester district where people and nature flourish together.
Our work is divided into three areas: inspiring and enabling people to care about climate change and act; sharing zero carbon solutions and expertise to enable local change and by connecting people and partners to accelerate impact.
We use a positive tipping points approach through everything we do: creating enabling conditions for change, reinforcing positive feedback loops and identifying triggers for change.
Our culture and values
We are welcoming, creative and positive. Evidence based, challenging and honest.
We work outside of party politics and strive to be professional and collaborative.
We are ambitious that the deep changes needed can be achieved as we are aware that climate changes relates to, and impacts all areas of, life on earth.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We aim to ensure that we are engaging with people that are representative of society in the Winchester area. This will enable us to support communities that are disproportionately affected by the impacts of climate change. Listening to diverse perspectives and learning from different people’s experience will also help us make better decisions and come up with creative solutions to the climate crisis.
