About us

Who we are

We are World Horse Welfare. For almost 100 years, we’ve been inspiring people to put the horse at the centre of how we think, care, act, ride and legislate – in the UK and across the globe.

We’re on the ground. Involved with the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses across the UK. We’re active among local communities across the globe who rely on working horses. Our research and education help shift perspectives on how we think about horse-human relationships and are at the forefront of shaping better, fairer policy for horses tomorrow.

Our vision is to have a world where every horse is treated with respect, compassion and understanding. Why not come and join us and help us to improve welfare standards and stamp out suffering in the UK and worldwide?

Our culture and values

World Horse Welfare takes great pride in being realistic, compassionate and forward-thinking and the successful applicant for any of our vacancies will be expected to share these values.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

World Horse Welfare is committed to championing equality and diversity in all aspects of employment and in the services that it provides. We encourage applications from under-represented groups, particularly ethnically diverse communities, LGBTQ+ and people with health conditions or impairements.
