About us

Who we are

About WorldSkills UK

WorldSkills UK is an independent charity and a partnership between employers, education and governments. We are dedicated to raising standards in apprenticeships and technical education to help more young people and adults succeed in skilled careers.

Through competitions, training programmes and international collaboration, we support educators and employers to develop world-class skills. Each year we engage thousands of apprentices, students, colleges and training providers across the UK through the WorldSkills UK Competition and our wider skills development initiatives.

We work closely with further education colleges, universities, training providers and industry partners to ensure the UK’s technical workforce is equipped with the skills needed for the future economy. Our programmes help benchmark UK skills against global standards through participation in the international WorldSkills movement.

Our mission is to raise standards, champion future skills and empower young people from all backgrounds to reach their potential through excellence in technical education.
