About us
Who we are
Yateley Industries provides accommodation, training and employment for disabled adults. We work to sustain and increase opportunities for people with disabilities in rewarding employment, both through our own internal employment opportunities (pantry, cafe, ground staff and supported factory) and our external/mainstream work, with an occupation that enables a disabled adult to contribute to society, for a meaningful and fair wage. We operate one of the few remaining supported factories that help disabled adults to do paid and meaningful work with in work support and training intended to help progress them into mainstream employment.

Our Four Pillars
Live, Work, Learn, Play
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy Statement
At Yateley Industries, we are committed to building a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and empowered to thrive. As an organisation with social justice at its heart, we actively promote equality, celebrate diversity and encourage an inclusive culture - not just because it’s the right thing to do but because it strengthens who we are and how we work.
Our Commitment
We believe every individual has the right to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
We oppose all forms of discrimination - direct, indirect, institutional, unconscious or otherwise — and take active steps to identify and address any barriers that prevent full participation.
Our Approach
-
Fair Recruitment & Progression
We ensure recruitment processes are fair, transparent and inclusive. We use objective criteria and reasonable adjustments where required - and we seek to build diverse teams that reflect the communities we serve. -
Creating a Supportive Culture
We actively nurture a workplace culture where difference is welcomed and everyone feels they belong. This includes training, zero-tolerance for harassment or bullying and safe channels for raising concerns. -
Inclusive Practices
Our policies and procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure they uphold inclusive practice. We consider intersectionality, neurodiversity and lived experience in shaping our approach. -
Data & Accountability
We collect and monitor EDI data (with consent), review pay equity and benchmark ourselves to ensure we are making progress. The Trustees and Senior Leadership Team holds responsibility for driving forward change and modelling inclusive behaviours. -
Empowerment & Voice
We involve employees, volunteers and residents in shaping our EDI journey. We are committed to listening, learning and evolving in partnership with those we support and employ.
Our Vision
We strive not only to comply with the Equality Act 2010 but to go further - embedding equity and justice at the core of everything we do. We aim to be a place where people can be their authentic selves, contribute meaningfully and access opportunity fairly.
