ZAKKI - Integrity Syariah Foundation

Who we are

ZAKKI is a non-profit social civic-tech organization that focuses on building inclusive integrated communities for marginalized people, especially the elderly and people with disabilities. We aim to provide micro-business assistance to help the elderly and people with disabilities in the informal sector achieve better livelihoods by facilitating donations distribution and deployment and offering greater market exposure. We derive information about beneficiaries from volunteers and the crowd, and this online platform serves as an alternative channel to distribute donations to those in need. Our organization is based on voluntary membership, and our volunteers conduct reports and verify beneficiaries. They also supervise the deployment of assistance and monitor beneficiaries' progress in their livelihoods.

Our Working Practices

• Supportive Leadership: We do not leave our team members to work in isolation. We assign every volunteer a named supervisor to provide regular support, hold supervision meetings, and act as a "go-to" person for guidance.

• Open Communication: We believe in a two-way exchange of ideas. We strive to be receptive to any comments and feedback from our volunteers to improve our organization.

• Empowerment: We set our team up for success by providing adequate information, resources, and training to help them meet the expectations of their roles.

• Professionalism and Accountability: We explain the standards we expect and support our volunteers in achieving desired results. In return, we expect team members to perform services to the best of their ability and meet time and task commitments as agreed.
