Who we are

We are the largest multi-academy trust in England, with over 60 primary, secondary and special schools across the country. We are the only truly national, all-ages trust with academies in the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, Midlands, London, West of England, Kent and the South Coast.

Over the past eighteen months, there has been a huge amount of change at AET. Under the leadership of Julian Drinkall and with an entirely new executive team, AET is now a radically different organisation: our school improvement, governance and finances have all been overhauled, and we are now in a position to consider growing the number of schools in the trust where it makes sense to do so.

With these changes now in place and starting to have an impact day to day, our ambitions for our pupils, young people and the communities they live in can now start to become a reality.

We offer a wide range of career pathways to our teachers, middle leaders, support staff and senior leaders with many of our schools hosting Teach First and Ambition School Leadership. 

As we move into this exciting new phase of AET’s development, our CPD offer will continue to evolve to ensure that we continue to provide a comprehensive and challenging suite of support to all our staff, helping everyone achieve professional excellence, stretch their learning and in doing so, maximise the impact across our schools.
