About us
Who we are
The Anne Frank Trust UK is an education charity that educates young people aged 9 to 16-years to learn from Anne Frank and the Holocaust and empower them to challenge all forms of prejudice,
Founded in 1991 by friends of Anne’s father Otto, we are the UK education partner of the Anne Frank House Amsterdam.
Our starting point is always the life and work of Anne Frank, explored as a Jewish experience in the historical context of the Holocaust, and as insight and inspiration for understanding and challenging prejudice in all its forms today.
Our education programme has three strands:
1. Online learning, including live events and downloadable resources, open to all schools.
2.Schools programme, which has two elements: (a) workshops for whole class groups on such topics as antisemitism, gender inequality, homophobia, Islamophobia, online hatred and shared values; and (b) peer education, where we train young people to share their learning with others in their schools
3. Ambassadors programme, launched in 2022, targeted at young people with lived experience of prejudice or disadvantage, mentoring them in an ongoing anti-prejudice role as Anne Frank Ambassadors.
Through an ongoing research partnership with the Social Psychology Department at the University of
Kent, we have robust evidence of our impact – for example that 87.7% of our participants become more positive in their attitudes to at least one other social group.
Our schools programme currently operates in Scotland and in six regions of England (Cumbria, London, the
North East, the North West, the West Midlands, and Yorkshire). At least one of our frontline Education Delivery Specialists, works in each of these locations.

EQUALITIES COMMITMENT
At the Anne Frank Trust UK we are strongly committed to equality of opportunity in recruitment and employment. We aim for a diverse workforce and inclusive work practices.
As an anti-prejudice education charity, we positively value the insights of staff who have lived experience of prejudice or discrimination.
If you would need adjustments or specific support to carry out any of the tasks or responsibilities in the job description, or if you need specific help during the recruitment process – e.g. because of disability or a characteristic protected under the Equality Act 2010 – you are welcome to state this in your application. We will see this as a positive request and can then let you know how we will take it into account or what support we can offer.
