About us
Who we are
Bell House is an educational charity based in Dulwich, South London that offers support outside the mainstream school curriculum, lifelong learning, exhibitions, talks and musical events.
We champion wider learning courses for all age groups, offering children and adults the opportunity to unleash their creativity or engage with subjects they have never tried before.
We offer creative opportunities for lifelong learning, short courses, exhibitions, talks and musical events.
We recognise that people do not all learn in the same way, and we have therefore become a hub for educational needs such as dyslexia support.
We complement schools work, working with special educational needs teachers (SENCOs), parents and dyselexia organisations to offer:
- Talks and training for teachers and parents
- Workshops for students, including typing courses
- Dyslexia events for specialist suppliers
- Courses where people with dyslexia excel
- Screenings for dyslexia diagnosis
We work with harder-to-reach groups and those who can’t easily access wider educational opportunities. There are free events and bursary places available on all our courses. If there are any groups and organisations you think we should connect with, do let us know.
We are volunteer-led, with a thriving community who share their skills, time, and expertise in ensuring the success of all that happens at Bell House.
