About us

Who we are

Brilliant Minds Opent Talent is a new, innovative, not-for-profit social enterprise providing freelance employment opportunities for neurodiverse people working from home using open talent platforms.

Our mission is to create meaningful, flexible and fair paid work opportunities for brilliant neurodiverse minds. We connect supportive employers with jobseekers who would otherwise struggle to gain employment.

What is different about Brilliant Minds is that our core focus is on home-based freelance roles available via open talent platforms (part of the gig economy) which otherwise would mean many neurodiverse people not being able to find suitable office-based jobs due to the many challenges of the traditional workplace environment.  Open Talent platforms offer thousands of opportunities worldwide with progressive companies (large global enterprises and small local organisations).

Our initial focus is on IT-related roles within organisations with large IT departments and many of the  leading global IT companies.

Rather than find companies who wish to merely support their diversity and inclusion agenda, we promote the unique talents and abilities neurodiverse people can offer enterprises. We will partner with organisations and charities to provide employability support to those out-of-work, have left or dropped out of education or recent graduates. Jobseekers registered on our platform will also gain access to training via our online Brilliant Minds Academy.

The three founders are all currently in full-time employment. As such, we are seeking experienced people to help us secure funding, create our social media presence, design services and commence business operations.

All roles will offer the opportunity to become involved at the very beginning of this exciting venture and will suit someone who is neurodiverse or who has experience of neurodiversity.

We are seeking people with relevant experience of working with social enterprises in startup mode.  The ideal volunteers will be passionate about helping neurodiverse people succeed in their careers and will either be neurodiverse themselves or have experience of working with neurodiverse people.

Roles are all home-based, part-time and offer flexible hours.
