Who we are
The Bulb Foundation was launched in 2019 to reflect Bulb's belief in the power of business for good. Bulb fight the climate crisis every day by providing affordable, renewable energy. But they wanted to do more. Now, every time a new member switches to Bulb, £1 is donated to the Bulb Foundation( £2 from 2020). We use that money to make grants to other charities and social enterprises tackling the climate crisis head on.
Fighting the climate crisis means two things: slowing the progress of climate change and helping people already coping with its effects. We'll announce our first partnerships soon, but in short, we seek out organisations with great ideas. Then we give them the money they need to succeed.
We want our funds to have the biggest impact possible, so we focus on high-risk ideas at an early stage of development that could have a global impact. And we measure carefully what they achieve.
