Who we are
The Carers Centre, Tower Hamlets enriches and enhances the lives of unpaid Carers and indirectly the lives of those they care for. We provide carers with expert advice and tailored support and advocate on their behalf to ensure that their rights are protected, and their needs are recognised and met.
The Carers Centre serves the communities of Tower Hamlets, where one in twelve residents is an unpaid carer. We support the mental and physical well-being of those caring for others. We do this through, tailored care; practical help; financial advice; emotional support; advocacy; social and leisure activities; and community information.
We support carers to develop the necessary strategies to effectively carry out their role and workshops to enhance their life skills. We act as a friendly face who understands the challenges and difficulties carers face and to ensure that their needs are met.
