Who we are
Chichester District Foodbanks mission is bringing communities together to end hunger and poverty in Chichester District by providing compassionate, practical help with dignity, whilst challenging injustice. As a charitable franchise of the Trussell Trust we provide 3 day emergency food parcels and support, through signposting, to individuals and families facing food poverty. We work with local agencies, that come into contact with people in crisis, who provide them with a voucher, which they swap at one of the foodbank centres for a food parcel.
We also run a “Kids Holiday Lunch Pack Scheme” to feed children on free school meals due to low income during the summer, Christmas and Easter holidays. To target the right children we work with 50 local schools who distribute vouchers for the families to exchange for a fortnightly pack containing 10 lunches.
