Who we are
OUR VISION is to build a culture of aspiration globally within which women, primarily of African Caribbean heritage, and their family are strengthened to achieve their full potential when making choices that affect the future of their family.
For over 40 years the Claudia Jones Organisation (CJO) have provided services for women and families in Hackney and surrounding boroughs. We work to improve the quality of life for African Caribbean women and people of African descent who are at risk of, health, social, education, economic and cultural exclusions. We make a difference through the delivery of specialist services in the areas of, Gender Base Violence, Family support and Advocacy, Therapeutic support and Learning and development. We have a whole family approach, work inter-generationally to build a sense of personal and social identity by promoting the positive aspects of our culture and history and to do our very best in stewarding the charity’s resources for the future.
