Community Action Suffolk

Who we are

Community Action Suffolk supports organisations in Suffolk’s Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, to enable them to operate more effectively.

We provide a voice for individuals and groups who may not otherwise be heard and represent their interests to the public sector. We can do this through our specialist networks.

We work closely with partners from the statutory sector, including Suffolk County Council, Borough and District Councils, Town and Parish Councils, Health and Police.

We help our partners communicate and work more effectively with VCSE sector organisations, communities and volunteers in Suffolk. All these parties have a vital part to play in improving the lives of people in Suffolk. This is recognised by many statutory partners, though working with such diverse groups can be difficult for large statutory organisations. Community Action Suffolk is in a position to support our partners and open communication channels.

We believe that our role in helping both sectors to work more closely together will make Suffolk a better place for everyone.

Community Action Suffolk’s vision is that Suffolk communities are stimulated, empowered and strengthened through an effective and sustainable voluntary and community sector.
