ETIV do Brasil stands for Education through International Volunteering and our mission is to connect international volunteers with local communities to support environmental conservation and development in Brazil. We are located in the beautiful fishing and surfing town of Itacare, where the tropical rainforest meets the Atlantic ocean and gorgeous beaches, jungles, waterfalls and wildlife abound.
Volunteers work directly with ETIV and our local communities to support projects that nurture positive social development, with a deep focus on youth development and environmental conservation. One of our main goals is to empower and develop a new generation of local youth leaders who will actively care for each other, their communities and the environment. However, we have also begun some community organizing work and plan to engage in some women's empowerment as well.
Volunteers also have the option of supporting the NGO by working in the office and learning about international development and NGO administration. We offer positions in markeitng and recruitment, fundraising, volunteer coordination, accounting and finance, website and tech support and more.
ETIV also offers volunteers volunteers the opportunity to live in our ETIV House at a very affordable cost and we can also offer packages of Portuguese and capoeira classes. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable skills while working for a meaningful cause and living in the stunningly beautiful surf town of Itacare, on the coast of Bahia, Brazil.
ETIV envisions a world where people care for each other and the environment, actively creating greater equality and opportunities for all.
