Who is FareShare South West
We're the region’s largest food and environment charity.
With warehouses in Plymouth and Bristol, we join the dots between food waste and hunger.
Last year, we provided food for more than three million meals to over 400 charities, reaching nearly 50,000 vulnerable people.
How?
Every week, 250 volunteers sort and pack tonnes of good-quality food into crates, and load them into the fleet of FareShare South West vans.
From there, we deliver to homelessness shelters, rehab centres, kids' breakfast clubs, support groups for older people…and beyond!
These organisations use the food we deliver to provide meals and food parcels for people who are struggling to buy food.
Why?
Right now, there are 14 million people (including four million children) in the UK who don't have enough to eat.
Yet every year, three million tonnes of good-to-eat food is wasted across the food industry. That’s enough for seven billion meals. What can you do?
